In an interview to a media portal The Wire, Imran Khan’s Special Assistant on national security and strategic policy planning Moeed Yusuf says. Yusuf said the two sides “must sit down like adults” for talks and contended the two key issues are Kashmir and terror. “I want to talk about both,” he said, adding that Pakistan “stands for peace and we want to move forward”.However, there was no confirmation on this from New Delhi.

The special assistant to Khan on national security and strategic policy planning said India has sent a message to Pakistan with “a desire for conversation” but refused to give details.

Must reads

Article 370’s revoke not an ‘internal matter of India’-

He said India must “reverse” the decision on Kashmir referring to the revocation of Article 370 last August, which they view as “military siege” in the Valley, and also demanded a “rollback of the new domicile law”. He continued spilling venom and said India’s move to scrap Article 370 is “not an internal matter” of New Delhi but a “matter for the UN”. He also said, “Kashmiris hate Indians”.

The accused of human right giving lessons on the same-

Among the conditions set by Yusuf for a dialogue with India is the release of political prisoners in Jammu and Kashmir, making Kashmiris a party to talks, ending restrictions in the region, rescinding the domicile law that allows non-Kashmiris to settle in the region, and stopping alleged human rights abuses. He also said equating Prime Minister Khan’s silence on Uyghur Muslims, a Turkic-speaking ethnic minority in China, with his accusations of genocide in Kashmir is “false equivalence”. He said the Uyghurs were a “non-issue” as he was 100% satisfied that they were being treated properly by China.

White lie on Kulbhushan Jadhav issue-

On the issue of former Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav, who is presently serving a death sentence in Pakistan over charges of espionage and terrorism, Yusuf said he was caught with ‘pants down’.
Yusuf contended there was evidence linking him to subversive activities. On the matter of India asking that Jadhav be represented by an Indian lawyer or a Queen’s Counsel to file an appeal against his death sentence, Yusuf said there is no law to allow an Indian lawyer to argue a case in a Pakistani court. He also refused to accept that Pakistan has denied India unimpeded and unconditional consular access to Jadhav and repeatedly would not answer why a Pakistani official was always present at meetings with Jadhav and why Pakistan insisted on recording the meetings.

Terrorist’s adobe speaking on terror-

Asked about Pakistan’s repeated refusal to act against terrorists who target India from Pakistani soil and the failure to prosecute the seven men accused of involvement in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, Yusuf blamed India for “deliberately delaying sending evidence and witnesses” for the trail so that it can keep the issue alive and use it to run down Pakistan in front of the world community. He also accused India of perpetrating terror in Pakistan and claimed that the “handler of the 2014 terrorist attack on an Army school in Peshawar was in touch with an Indian consulate”.

Raked Afghanistan and again caught in own lie-

He accused the Indian Embassy in Afghanistan of using think-tanks as a front to funnel money to Baloch terrorists. He claimed the Balochistan National Army commander had been treated in a hospital in Delhi. Yusuf also said India of being involved in backing terror within Pakistan and said the Indian embassy in Kabul had given $1 million to the Pakistani Taliban in 2019 to help the group merge with four other militant groups. However, he was unable to name all four groups.

Yusuf also compared himself with India’s national security advisor Ajit Doval who last month showed him mirror by walking out of SCO meet held in Russia, where he came with an incorrect map of Pakistan depicting Indian territory as of Pakistani. Referring to India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Yusuf said, “Compare me to my counterpart in India” and added that his objective is to “increase the political space” for Prime Minister Khan.

Now what irony is this, the country which is already declared as an epicentre of terrorism whose Prime Minister also admitted on his America’s visit that thousands of terrorist are using Pakistani soil to expand their feet, is now spilling venom on Kashmir by stating it as a matter of UN. Another lie of Pakistan exposed here that instead of making the Kashmir issue as of Pakistan they are acting in fear and stating it as a matter of United Nations.
